I hope you are all staying safe during these trying times of 2020. Like most musicians these days, I have not been able to make live music with other humans. This was the case until the other day when dear friend and pianist Brian Way invited me to be a part of his Patio Series, a social distanced concert series from his front patio. It is always a pleasure to play with Brian as he is such an incredible and sensitive musician, but this interaction was extra special! Thanks Brian! Enjoy!
I’ve started filling up my available schedule for music lessons starting the week of September 10th, 2018. If you or someone you know is interested, now is the time to get in touch! Fill out the contact form below!

“We reside in a land of exceptional guitar players. I can ream off a dozen without coming up for air. And just about every style you could think of. Brad Jefford is one of those outstanding guitarists. His album ‘Before The Rain’ features eleven beautiful tracks both jaunty and beguiling atmospherically. Couching jazz, country, folk and bright pop sensibilities this album will instantly capture your attention. I’m reminded of greats like Larry Carlton, Bill Frisell and John Abercrombie upon first listen. Having a sneak listen at work, two customers instantly asked what we were listening to. I’m struck by how confessional an album sans lyrics can come across. Having caught Brad perform with combos often over the past several years it’s a delight to experience this beautiful clean delicate work and his gifted skill.” – Tony Ploughman from Fred’s Records in St. John’s.
Newfoundland guitarist Brad Jefford is releasing his debut solo album “Before The Rain” this Sunday, November 26th, at 8:00pm at The Ship Pub in downtown St. John’s. For this release Brad has comprised a who’s who team with producer Bill Brennan, engineer Kevin Pinhorn and the team at Record Time Productions, and legendary Newfoundland guitarist Sandy Morris and singing sensation Jenny Gear, who are both set to join him this Sunday for the release show.
Excited to announce that I have been in the studio working on my first album of solo guitar music. I have been working with the great Bill Brennan who is producing this project and the fine folks at Record Time Productions who capture it all.
The album will consist of mostly original music that was written as a tribute to all the musical phases and memories in my life. Those of you who know me will know those influences include jazz, country, blues, bluegrass, and more.
I look forward to sharing this with you all in the near future!
Peace, Love, and Music
